What was John McCain thinking?

The GOP might as well hand over the White House right now. Picking a soccer mom as VP one can only imagine how one sided the VP debates are going to be I mean comeon Biden vs. Palin. McCain might be thinking outside the box but In my opinion this is a terrible move. Whats your opinion?

  1. I thin khe knows he is far behind in approval/prelim votes and thinks this will "fool" ppl into thinking that he is as up to change as Obama/Biden. In fact, this is a ploy, a scheme. He is thinking this will help him. I see no such thing happening.

  2. i am soooo disappointed by his choice!!!!!!!!

  3. are you saying  a  good mom  interested in  her children  cant  run for VP?  look at it this way  if obama  who  has  no experience  and  racial friends can run for president  and god only knows why he made it this far  a women  can run for VP  just as or better than  a man  we  are  the peace  makers  the  women  and  you  men  need to  step  down  and  let  a  women  run  things

  4. Time will tell. Nobody knew who the heck Obama was 18 months ago. You may be very very suprised how formidable she is in the election.

  5. He was thinking that choosing her would do 2 things:

    take the spotlight from Obama

    drive democrats crazy

So far, this choice has done both!

  6. Bottom line, he wasn't.........my friend.

  7. he picked her to try to get the Hillery fanatics votes and split the women votes it really was a poor choice shes only been gov for 2 years and she is form the less important states he may have just added a nail to the coffin

  8. he's thinking outside the box----outside the hollywashington activist box.

    there's more people out there.

Biden has been in the box too long---he sounds like a phoney incomparison--she's got the Julia Roberts as whistleblower thing going, but she's sleeker--I think McCain/Palin are going to do well-----it is an old-school populist ticket in a lot of ways

  9. I'm giving him (and her) the benefit of the doubt for the moment.

I know nothing about her ... but clearly there is something about her that made him and the party feel she was the right choice.  I have to say there is a 100% chance I'll be watching the republican convention - I want to hear her speech and find out who she is and what she's about.  I gotta believe there's more to her appeal than the fact that she's a woman and a soccer(or is it hockey) mom.

  10. Kudos to McCain. Excellent choice!
