Question:

What was McCain thinking?

Did McCain even have a vetting process to pick a VP or did he just roll the dice? I am sure Palin didn't tell him because her secret would have been exposed.

I wish I had voted for Huckabee in the primary. He was my second choice but I figured McCain could capture broader appeal. Huckabee would have beaten the pants off Obaiden. Heck even Romney would have been better.

I cant see McCain climb out of this hole. Folks the election is over. Obama is going to run this country all because McCain could not even pick a VP without a pregnant teenage daughter. If you are thinking that McCain will spin his way out of this the hole is just going to get bigger.

  1. OMG, yes i think he made a BIG mistake. god forbid, he die, this nobody mayor of podunk Alaska is gonna be our president. she can't even keep her ho of a daugher from getting knocked up, how she gonna lead our country???

  2. I f had to run on bush's record ad get trounnced be nice to have beauty queen along for the ride which will be very painful ahe has to answer for more and more bushit

  3. Personally, I think he made a stupid, rash choice, that really needed more thought. I really believe he picked Palin ONLY because she is a woman\Republican. I had a strange feeling he might pull something like this before it even happened. I even heard them talking on the news about how he may do better if he were to pick a really good woman as VP to win over the Hillary voters. Does he think that ANY woman equals Hillary....I think not...What was he thinking??? He had some GREAT VP choices. He has now lost the election....Watch....Obama\ Biden are going to trample him......

  4. I may be wrong but I think Obama picked Palin to make it easier for him to win the Presidency..

  5. He didn't think much.

He wanted a woman and he wanted a redneck NRA chick.

He found Palin. It's that simple.

  6. I think that McCain simply bet the farm on the idea that Obama not picking Senator Clinton as a running mate would so anger her base that he could pick any female of standing and pull in that disaffected demographic.

He foolishly assumed that women vote for women routinely.  He thought a Democrat such as Hillary Clinton could be replaced by a woman who thinks abortion should be disallowed even in cases of rape or incest.  That was cynical beyond words.

Worse yet, he picked a very pretty woman with less experience than Obama over very experienced women in his own party, including Kay Bailey Hutchison or Condoleeza Rice.

McCain's vetting process seems to not have even existed.  Governor Palin's ethics investigation and the "BabyGate" story are nothing compared to the exposure of McCain's poor judgment and his, seemingly, strongly held idea that one woman is as good as the next.

He is a little younger than my parents, but I recognize the mindset...

  7. I am an Obama supporter and man was i praying during the primary that Huckabee did not become the nominee.  I was ok with McCain because I knew that Obama or Clinton stood a chance, but Huckabee would have mobilized evangelical voters, connected with voters in Pennsylvania and Ohio, and completely cleaned up in the South.  Heck, I might have even considered voting for him myself if it weren't for his stance on certain issues (death penalty, war in iraq, etc.).  But i definitely would have considered it.  I can't believe that McCain would select someone who he has only met twice.  I wouldn't trust my dog with someone i met twice, even more so with the lives of the American people.  If she makes another gaff or even makes a mistake or even has an ounce of anything negative that comes out about her life, it'll reflect negative on McCain and could cost him the election.  As an Obama supporter I want Obama to win.  I just didn't think it would happen like this.

  8. No, matter what why you see it ,

No, matter how you put it,

    No, matter who wins.

    we are f'ed up

I rather see a mad Alaskan woman who would use her dad shot gun to shoot a moose

then a white male thinking about what he should do to kill the moose....

well if we had moose issues come up we have the person...

  9. According to these articles, it is questionable if the McCain campaign did a full vetting process.

This is the statement made today about Mrs. Palin's daughter's pregnancy and apparently was made to also stop the questioning of who is the mother of her four month old.

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/theworldnewser/...

As an Independent, I found Senator McCain's choice questionable on many levels before this latest information was released.

Now I have to question how can Mrs. Palin devote herself full time to the position of Vice President while being a full time mother at the same time as she is professed at the ability of this juggling act....

It raises allot of questions all across the board....

  10. If people can't vote for the more experienced and better ticket because one of them has a pregnant teenage daughter the nation is truly messed up.  h**l Obama was a teenager daughters son.  So if your statement is true he shouldn't even be on the ticket.

  11. A pregnant teenage daughter is a family matter, not a political football.  Any parent who has raised teenagers knows that all you can do is to give them guidance, training and your best to instill values in them.  There is no way to be with a teenager 24/7 and "force" them to make the best decisions.

Clinton couldn't keep his zipper closed but that sure didn't seem to bother the liberals.

McCain is not in a hole, as you so eloquently put it, he is showing America that he is a strong candidate willing to put America first.  If Obama had any substance his sheeple wouldn't need to sink to the lowest common denominator and attack a 17 year old.

  12. Oh please! Teenage pregnancy isn't that big a deal.

  13. Obviously McCain didn't just "roll the dice" since he went with the best choice.  Most people don't care that Palin has a pregnant teenage daughter and neither does McCain.

  14. Wow what about a presidential candidate who has never run anything in his life.... like Obama! He just showed up out of nowhere and always brings up a mysterious race issue. It's getting old fast.
