What was Mickey Mantle's baseball number in high school?

A "Commerce Comet" bobblehead given out at an Oklahoma RedHawks minor league game depicts him in his Commerce, Okla., high school jersey, with the No. 7 on his back.

I question whether he really wore 7 in high school, especially because he originally wore No. 6 with the Yankees.

He wore 7 in highschool, but then he had to change cause someone else already had 7.  So he chose the next best number, 6.
