His mom was atheist.  His grandparents were Christian.  Before becoming a Christian, he wasn't religious.  I think it's funny people assume one HAS to have a religion.

Should it really matter? If anything I'd rather have an Atheist president. At least his head wouldn't be clouded by imaginary friends.

And just because his middle name is "Hussein" does not mean he's anything like Saddam Hussein.

Apparently, he has always been a Christian.

His father converted to Islam, but he was raised by his mother (a Christian).

I would read about his background... he was actually raised partly in Indonesia while his mother was working in some type Christian capacity.

Nobody knows Obama's religion before his conversion to Christianity under the auspices of Rev Jeremiah Wright. Some say Obama was Muslim; others say Christian; others say he raised atheist. Obama has not been forthright, upfront or honest in clarifying the issue.
