What was Quentin Tarantino doing at the Monaco GP?

I know that the Monaco GP is one of the most glamorous will all the celebrities, but I didn't realise that this was Tarantino's kind of thing? How far does his interest in F1 go? Or was it just to be seen? Has he been to other races before?

Perhaps it was research for 'Death Proof II'? ;) There was certainly enough car carnage!

Monaco is a race where all the beautiful, famous, and rich people hang out. Tarantino was there rubbing elbows and taking in the event. Same reason many celebrities go to Indy.

I think he lives there, or probably has a home there. Lets face it, Monaco is a tax haven.

There are oodles of 'celebs' as the Cannes Film Festival was a hop, skip and a yacht away. In that kind of world, they're two fabulously glamorous events where you can drink, bob on a boat and spend stupid amounts of money.

I've seen Tarantino at a race before, i'm always taken aback by how old he looks!

I would say Tarantino WAS a SLIGHT fan of F1, but he'd never been to an F1 race in person prior to the European Grand Prix last season in Germany.

I think now he knows where the action is, and this year at Monaco, he came as an official Ferrari fan (according to his interview for Speed TV) while in Pit Lane.

I've seen him at other races too. he's a fan. My memory is not great, but I think he was at silverstone a while back and I know he's been to Monaco before.
