I'm writing an essay on this, and i'm not really sure how to set it out.

I'm used to answering questions in essays, but this just seems so vague, i have no idea how to go about writing it.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!

  1. a fake, creepy womanizer

  2. A combination of Catweazle, and, the Goth who hates both Simon Cowell and Mrs Cole.

  3. he was aparently tall long black hair possibly romantically involved with tsar nicholas 2s wife sinister guy apperantly cured one of the children when he was sick probably since he was involved with nicholases wife he might have  made himself involved in how russia handled ww1 in the end i think he was shot beaten an poisoned before he was finally drowned

  4. Dirty, greedy, a s*x fiend, had some sort of mesmerizing power, at least with the Czarina who thought he could "cure" her son of hemophilia... .  Main problem was the Czar, who was not that bright, relied heavily upon his wife, and she relied heavily on this dingbat Rasputin.

The young noblemen who took it upon themselves to assassinate him DID have a bit of trouble actually killing him. He just wouldn't DIE. I think after poisoning, then shooting him - he wound up in the River. That's what finally did him in.

  5. Rasputin could be described as whimsical. He was a very dark figure in Russian history. He is best known for being very sexual explicit, having no manners, & being very persuasive when it came to the royal family. He believed that in order to obtain salvation you had to sin & give into to temptation. It is believed that he had an affair with the Tzar's wife, however, this was never proven. He did supposedly rape a nun, if that tells you just how sexually explicit he was. Because the Czar and many other thought he was "magical", he stayed with the royal family as healer to the Tzar's's son, I believe he was also considered somewhat of a holy man to the family as well. He was very rude by Russian standards, shameless, & power-hungry.

  6. Disgusting.

  7. he was a h**l of a guy,  we used to go fishing every other thursday then i'd drop him off at the winter palace so he could manipulate and exploit the desperate, gullible romanovs

  8. You can say something about his relationship with the Tsarina and about his womanising ways. You can also say about his religion which was controversial. And also i think that there is something strange about his death as well. I learnt about him last year but i cant remember much. Good Luck and i hope this helps. You should also try researching on Wikepedia :)

  9. My friend's lecturer made him and his class listen to this when he had to learn about rasputin

  10. Rasputin is an intriguing character, and the essay title is quite vague. The essay is asking you to describe him and in order to do this in a logical way, it is best that you set out different sides to him.

In your introduction you should write about his background - he came from an obscure area of Russia and little is known about his exact birth. His early life is shrouded in mystery and therefore adds to his aura.

There are several sides to Rasputin and each of these could make up a different paragraph for your essay. He was a religious monk and became almost god-like, he was a healer for the Tsarina's son - the heir to the Russian throne, he was also a womaniser and was constantly surrounded by women. Due to this, Rasputin moved in influential courtly circles and had a celebrity-like status. He had a strange and powerful influence over the Tsarina and it was implied that they may have had some sort of relationship. However, there are claims that he was also killed by his g*y lover. All of this creates a colourful and complicated character.

If you have less space in your essay, you could divide it into Rasputin's rise, and then his fall.

  11. He was a religious manipulator, nothing strange about his death, he was poisoned that failed, then shot that failed, then finally thrown in the river, success !!

Been in the cellar where he was shot, it is now a museum.
