If everything we know was created from this big bang, what was before it? Was there nothing at all, how did the bang start?

  1. Some people think that there was a universe that existed before ours and that universe underwent the "Big Crunch" and then the Big Bang started a new universe all over again, but i dunno i think the big bang was nothing more than a f**t from the butt of time/space.

  2. Well according to some physicists, before the big bang occured, the universe was VERY small, and condensed. The temperature would have been very high as well. No one knows how the big bang began, but a possible scenario was derived from string theory. Two large strings could have bumped into each other and that would have initiated the process but no one really knows what would happen if two strings did collide, no one knows for sure if they even exist!

  3. only the Lord knows.

i don't believe in the "big bang" theory.

i believe that God made the world in the old testament.

  4. We get this question a lot here. We have no idea what was before the big bang. Theories stem from there being another universe, to there just being nothing. A more important question is *what* caused the big bang? That question may be achievable but knowing what was before the big bang is impossible to know.

  5. Just to add on to Preeti's answer:

String theorists speculate that the big bang was caused by two 'branes colliding, not strings.

  6. Nothing.

If one thing existed, there weren't Big Bang.

  7. The small clap?

  8. What we all ignore is the fact that “nothing is created from nothing” and the physicists ought to know that better than anyone else. So, if there was nothing before the baseless theory of the “Big Bang” how did that happened? I am a mechanical engineer and a sceptic, not a physicist, and I find it very difficult to accept the theory of the big bang!

  9. Let's see...I checked all of the books in the Library and it seems that none of them were written before the Big Bang...

Let me go ask Bubba who is old as the hills and knows everything.

He usually hangs around at Tony's Bar and Grill about this time

of day...I feel sure that he will know how it all came about.

What possible difference could it make to you?

Who would know such a thing? I mean do you expect that there is
