  1. Space began then.  Time began then.  There was no "before" before time began.

  2. everytime you look for an answer in science, you will always find more questions.  it might have just happened out of nothingness, created by a higher being or just the pure luck of the quantum scale.

  3. So many possibilities. My theory (i'm just a kid so don't quote me) is that there has ALWAYS been something out of nothing, so the universe was created by things colliding and a huge reaction created gravity. WOAHHH that didn't make sense, just don't read my answer hahaha.

  4. singularity in which space an time didn't exist

  5. I just took earth science this year, and they belive that it was a black hole but who knows, there are so many unanswered questions. :/

  6. Simple answer: we don't know. Some theorists have postulated that our universe floats in a higher dimension as a "brane", along with an infinite number of other brane universes. Our big bang was caused by two of these branes colliding.

However, as with every chicken and egg scenario, it still poses the question "Where did the branes come from?". Again, we simply don't know.
