I'd have to go with the 70's when you had all the roots stuff going on culture, inner circle, the wailers, dennis brown, burning spear, big youth, prince far I, it was also the golden age for dub with the likes of KIng Tubby, Prince Jammy and Lee Perry making some classic cuts with some studio wizardry ;)
