The egg because the chicken had to come from the egg to get here.  The egg on the other hand probably was some genetic mutation from some other chicken-like animal.  :)

chicken... think about it, the theory of evolution. they say that birds are the current dinosaurs.

i believe that over time, taradactals evolved into birds... and overtime, these species developed the bird like features like feathers and such.

So this is what I have been told...

The chicken came first.  As a result of some type of genetic mutation in the chicken the egg was created and later laid by it.  It makes sense to me.  You can't go wrong with genetics and evolution....or rather adaptation.

if you follow the bible, it is obviously the chicken.  adam and eve weren't born were they.  they were created as adults.

Its obviously the egg. The egg could've been of any birds. There were a lot of birds before the chicken came on this planet and they did lay a lot of eggs. But on the other hand the chicken came sometime down the timeline, from a previously laid egg. So as long as you're not pointing to a chicken's egg, its definitely the egg which came first :)
