What was considered a highly prestigious occupation in America at the turn of the century?

The most highly prestigious occupations were, high ranking politicians, military persons, doctors, religious leaders and inventors.  As to their income that was highly variable and would need to be looked up individually.

something Industrial Revolution related.  Oil Steel  etc.  no idea on money

Perhaps a banker, or some othe form of "Robber Baron" such as the owner of a railroad, oil company or large cattle rancher.
