I am in the 8th grade and I have to write my first Thesis on Global Warming. I need help with what one of my paragrahs is about. What was done to find out Global Warming was a problem?

Kristi, I am so sorry for the few dim wits that tried to answer your questions most of these answers are great. There is always one or two that are just bent on being onery. The U. S. government has been deceminating information to the public for years. We are one of the few countries that is not on board with regulating our green house emisions. This is most likely political.

As for your answer. The most decisive evidence that has been accumulated regarding global warming that can not be cast off as a natural planetary event is the ice tests.

On both polar caps tests are done on the ice to measure back as far as 500 thousand years and more. This requires scientists to drill into the ice cap vertically and pull as much as 6 to 10 foot lengths of ice. The scientists then take cross sections of the ice and test it for natural polutants and man made based polutants in the ice. This is un deniable evidence that we as a human race have impacted the global environment. Now if you add to this all the other evidence such as what has been put in the other intelligent answers. That should get you a pretty good paragraph. good luck

The galciers and polar ice caps have been proving to be melting at an increasing rate yearly..this is proof that the global climate is increasing.....not sure how they can prove that this is from pollution but the theory stands to reason that these green-house gasses kind of insulate the suns heat on the planet and make it harder for the heat to escape.
