  1. The Rooster.

  2. Yes

  3. I think that your query boils down to a matter of evolution: the egg was a primary mode of reptilian reproduction far before the advent of the organism we call "hen."  So in a biological sense, the egg as a reproductive mode predates the hen by a long, long time...as in millions of years.

  4. Primordial spunk.

  5. egg

  6. I suspect the egg was laid by a near-chicken like creature.

  7. the hen, duuuh! because what would sit on the egg??? the egg would just die, and there would be no such thing as a hen anymore! first the hen and chicken, then the egg. the real question: which came first, the hen, or the chicken? and If you dont know the difference between a hen and a chicken then you sir, need some serrious help.

  8. the hen.. god created 2 of every animall.. so yeah th hen

  9. The egg.

Because of genetic mutations, the original true chicken would have hatched from an egg that was laid by an animal that was *nearly* a true chicken.  However, genetic mutations do not occur during the lifetime of a single animal, which means that a "nearly-chicken" egg cannot hatch into a true chicken.

  10. The egg, because whatever the ancestor species of hens were, they were also hatching from eggs.

  11. egg. duh!

  12. Well, according to christianity, the chicken came first as is in genesis 1:21

  13. Oh, you're such a chicken!! Cross the street, and I will tell you....

  14. God made the hen on the fifth day, and blessed it with the power of reproduction. Thus, the hen mated with a rooster and made the egg. The egg hatched, and the cycle went on.
