What was in Kanes bag on Raw?

I'm sure this question has already been asked, but I taped Raw last night and am watching it right now, and I don't understand.... They just revealed what was in Kane's bag, but it still doesn't make sense. Can somebody explain???

Rey Mysterio's Mask...Have you seen Rey Mysterio take on Kane? The only reason for his mask to be in the bag is to start a feud between the two.

Well, as you know, Rey Mysterio has been off WWE television for quite some time now. I think this is a way to build up to his full return to the ring. I also think that this will bring him in as a different Rey Mysterio. One that is "demented" so to speak. I'm really interested in this story line as everyone thought Kane's mask would be in the bag, but it's Rey's. It's intriguing.

It don't make much sense to me, I think Kane's prankin' evreyone, did you see how he through the mask at Adamle and walked out of the ring laughing?

Nobody really knows exactly what is going on but I think it is just a way to get Mysterio back

I'm guessing Kane's "Is he alive or dead?" quote concerns Mysterio's WWE career. WWE and Mysterio are having contract disputes because he feels WWE isn't paying him enough. I hope WWE wises up and does whatever they have to do to keep Mysterio.

Honestly, I think it was WWE playing a joke on the fans. There were articles all over the internet saying that it was Kane's old mask in the bag. I guess WWE noticed these articles, and to confuse the fans, made the change at the last minute. They realized the fans thought they had it all figured out, but then changed it (similar to the Night of Champions pay per view, when everyone assumed one of the titles would be moved back to Raw)
