What was in my plum?

Okay I was eating a plum it was pretty good and all of a sudden I get to the center and notice this clear jelly-ish substance it was like not gooey it was like in little particles but it had a jelly texture so I didnt eat anymore of it I open the plum so I could check it out and see what the h**l it was the seed or what ever had been broke open and this stuff was coming out of it WHAT WAS IT?HELP!!!

Fruit pectin. It's natural and normal and comes from the seed, the little white kernal inside it. It is often used in jam and marmalade as a setting agent.
