What was it? a ghost?

ok so a couple months ago me and my mom went to go visit my uncle and aunt at their house (families important to us) but the door was locked. so i kept trying to open it by jiggling the door nob a bit, then i rang the door bell a couple times. AFTER THAT my mom and i were talking about how nobody was probably home when all of a sudden the door nob starts jiggling and the door creeked open bu just a little bit... my mom and me just stared at each other. i pushed the door open and the house was completly dark (no lights on) w/ no one home but my uncle who was upstairs asleep..

what was it? my family has had a history of wierd experiances so idk.. thanx for the help^^

btw: my mom thought it was a dwende, a baby that has died or been aborted (idk =S) she said they love causing mischief and if your show fear they act even worse

It must have been something. It could have been some kind of spirit. I would research the house to see if there have been any deaths in its history!

Ask your mom who died in the that building and try to find facts about their deaths. Or who lived a lot in that house and was really attached to it but went missing or died. Could be a nice person ghost trying to open the door for you. Not sure

yea i agree with the other answers, do some research on that house,check if anyone has died there, how long ago it was built and what places were near it (example: my old house was near a battle field, so thats why we had experiences in that house)
