What was it like when oil was discovered in Dubai?

Hey, i need to know everything about the change in dubai. Like how did the food, animals, clothes, buildings, landscape, shops and people change after the discovery of oil. If you could, please go into details!!! LOL This is an easy 10 points !!! :) :D <3

currently I&#039;m living in the middle east, i visited Dubai it&#039;s amazing city more like NY. in the past people were not that rich nor civilized. after being introduced to oil and the financial benefits they got from it , a big change in the construction and structure of the society has taken place creating a green land from a desert. now you can see skyscrapers all along the road, an artificial snow theater-in Dubai it barely rains!!-.

as mentality, people became more open minded but still stick in traditions and religion which is good to . you find night clubs, brands shops, almost everything u need. that is because of oil . see how it changed the whole society !!

Correction!

Dubai itself never had much oil. Abu Dhabi did, &amp; then when those Arab Emirates were united in 1971 Dubai developed its economy with the help it was getting from Abu Dhabi &amp; even from Kuwait, wich is a different country.

Right now Dubai by itself is very wealthy. It has several sources of income, non of which is oil (at least it&#039;s not that significant).
