  1. Funny game Aussie Rules. It wasn't a shock, although going on form and home ground advantage is no longer a sure thing anymore.

Both teams were in a strong position and playing well, it shows that its not over until the fat lady sings, as they say.

  2. The Dons losing was a big shock but in the long run it might be good for the young players to stop them getting complacent.

  3. probably Carlton's come back, just for the fact they were the wooden spooners last year, got thrashed last week and have been down for a number of years,to play an Essendon side which has beaten Adelaide in Adelaide and Freo which was considered an early grand final hope and was flogging them by 48 points at one stage-showed great courage and heart

collingwoods come back was less of a shock because they are still a good side and played really well against west coast last week in perth, and the fact Richmond were also run over by Carlton 2 weeks ago.

  4. The only shock for me  about Collingwood's win, is that their coach has not been given the praise he deserves!!.  The Pies were without 8 players, Buckley, Didak, Clement , Johnson, Lonie, Rusling, Holland and Egan,  with another Tarrant, a 20 game player last year, now in dockers colours.   As for the Bombers , its  early days, however  if the  lesson is learned about "easing up", it should make them harder to beat in the games ahead .   For the Tigers its possibly a good time to consider  Disbanding or a move to Tassie to become the "Tassie Tigers".  The only reason Tassie does not have a permaneant AFL team now, is because the state does not have the corporate backing to support a team, and while the same will result in Vic. for the Tige's in the near future,  its really the best time now for the AFL to act fast,' while all things are equal' and get em on the boat and relocated ASAP.   We could then only PRAY, that boat doesn't SINK half way through the journey,  like the team did on Friday night. !!

  5. Richmond thought they had the game won at half time it goes to prove the game is never won till the final siren has gone Go Pies

  6. I thought that the bombers losing was more of a shock. Carlton got thrashed by Geelong last week in the second half, but they definitely turned it around this weekend with a solid second half performance.  I gave them very little chance of winning at half time. Collingwood showed that they can come from behind when they won in round 1 against the Kangaroos, so it was not so surprising that they did so again against Richmond.

  7. Dont worry about the Tigers mate - our run to the 8 is about to start.

Bombers was much more of a shock to me, they were 48 points up, Tiges were only 23 up at half time, or something like that.

And as a lifelong Tigers fan, no I am not surprised by failure.

  8. it was a massive shock the tigers lost that may have been acceptable from  a poorer team but they are serious contenders mr sheens will not be  happy at all

  9. The bombers was more of a shock.

Once the Pies got organised and put a little pressure on the Tigers, they just collapsed.  This in turn spurred on the Pies.  I think it wasn't so much a case of the Tigers losing from in front as the Pies winning from behind.

  10. i was at dat game GO PIES.....  they played good even wif out 6 top players.............dale thomas   u sxc gun

i can bagg  mi 3 brothers and mum now coz they go 4 richmond

n richo  needs 2 retire    hes 2 slow

  11. essendon was more of a surprise

    richmond suck, theyre bloody hopeless

them and the kangaroos are gonna be bottom 2
