Usain Bolt beating Tyson g*y wasn't that shocking, even with g*y being the World Champion in both the 100 and 200, and Bolt known to be a exclusive 200 meter runner. It was soon to happen, even in with Bolt dropping down to the 100. He previously ran 9.76 and he cruised through the finish line.

Bolt is Freak of Nature, he has been running elite times in the 200 since he started high school (check the resume), he holds the age group world record (17-19 year old) for the 200 meters running under 20 seconds.

As for Merritt beating Wariner, I knew it was a matter of time before that happened. Even though Wariner is a cocky cheating b*****d and the Federation and sponsors protect him from suspicion of using illegal performance enhancing drugs.

Merritt is a great runner, arguably the fastest indoor runner at 400 meters. Along with indoor world record holder Kerron Clement, who Merritt beat indoors.

Even knowing how talented and amazing Merritt is, beating Wariner is a bigger shocker. Wariner's professional record is pretty darn great, with low count of losing.

Bolt came out of nowhere...he was running the 100 as a speed workout and said that he didnt really want to run it in the Olympics over his favorite event the 200 and the 400. Everyone doubted him being good at the 100 because how tall he is (hes like 6,5). But then to go in there and get the world record? That was much more shocking than Wariner getting beat because Wariner just had a bad race he will come back and win the gold in beijing.

Wariner losing to Merritt . . . on any given day, any one of the top 100 men in the world can beat the others but Jeremy has been lights out the last 2 years and for him to lose is news . . .

Usain Bolt getting the world record is much more impressive.  Bolt was using the race to prepare for the 200m.  Given the conditions, it is easy to see someone come from nowhere to beat a favorite.   But to have someone come, in adverse conditions, and beat the world record, that is impressive!!!
