It was a case where a girl was kept inside her room for years since she was born girl and was abused and when the news came out she was much older and did not know how to speak, read and so on.....(1970-1980) does anyone know...

Doctors referred to the girl as Genie. There was a special on NOVA called "Secret of the Wild Child" that focused on Genie's case. She was picked up from her home in Los Angeles when she was about thirteen years old, and at that time Genie had no language skills and was still wearing diapers.
