What was that harley indian?

I cant find the bike thats in the movie "la bamba"

i fell in love w/ how it looked!!!

It's been many years since I've seen the movie but from what I remember it was most likely a Harley Chopper. I think it had ape hangers. Most Hollywood movies use Harleys unless the bike was a key part of the storyline. If I can find a photo of the bike I could tell you more.

I have to disagree that there is no such thing as a Harley Indian. With all of the choppers{personal builds not the production c**p} out there I'd bet there would be at least 1 with Indian and Harley parts on it. Heck I've seen Honda Harley, Suzuki Harley, etc etc etc............ Maybe there isn't a production model "Harley Indian" but somewhere there must be a build up of 1.

That was not an Indian. It was an ironhead sportster with an Indian logo on the tank. It really irks me when someone making a major movie like that can't spend the bucks to get a correct bike for the period and has to fake up something as stupid as that. How dumb do they think we are?

i've seen a few indian harleys... had the feathers and everything airbrushed on.  even smelled like lisol spray
