The first one I actually remember watching was the Daytona when Dale Sr. died.

The first was the first time Wide World of Sports telecast live the Daytona 500 when Yarbrough and Pearson (?) got into a fight after the last lap.

In person, 1996 at MIS (Michigan). Don't remember who won.

I did see Benny Parsons drive many many times at Mt. Clemens, MI 1/2 mile dirt track, late model stocks before he joined NASCAR.

I have no idea which one I watched on TV but the first one that I went to was the Hanes 500 at Martinsville in 97.  Jeff Burton won..>Dale Sr came in second.

There were two things that happened when I was there...one is Geoff (?)  Bodine hit the wall right by me.  And there wasn't all the safer walls and the fence wasn't so high then...and another thing was that Dale Sr. And Rusty Wallace got into it...I think they banged and bumped for awhile and then Rusty was taken out and I am not exactly sure as I don't recall a big crash.  

Anyway...that was the first one that I attended.

Yes, I got to meet Chad Little and got his autograph and a cap.  I recall no one at his merchandise trailer.  I also recall that he was really a very nice looking (ok..HOT) man.  *sigh*

Another name you don't hear about any more.

Won the race and I jumped up and down!

I slept in the back of the car after the race was rained out the day before. And too see him win was amazing.

Watching?  Sheww that's a tough one so I'll go with first attended.

2006 Coca Cola 600 won by #9 Dodge Dealers Dodge driven by Kasey Kahne (ironically, Kahne has won the race all three times I've been to Lowes Motor Speedway).  Nothing humorous happened, but I remember Tony Stewart being injured when he wrecked in Turn 3.  That was when he had a lot of trouble with his shoulder.

And no, I didn't meet any drivers...

First one I watched was the day before my 15th birthday, February 2nd, 1988. At my boyfriends house (now my husband) The Daytona 500. Bobby Allison and his son Davey finished 1st and 2nd. I was hooked!

The first cup race I went to was the Spring Bristol race in 2004.

He was #97 and was with Roush Racing.

I was 16 rows up in turn 1 at BMS.

Humorous, Dale Jr spun him self out on purpose to keep from going a lap down and bragged about it on the radio and Nascar heard him and penalized him.

Didnt meet any drivers but got close to a bunch.

I'm pretty sure the first one I ever saw any of was the first ('94) Brickyard 400. I didn't like the stickers all over the cars.

First race attended, Las Vegas in 2001. Jeff Gordon won the Winston No Bull million. Met no drivers. The following year, met Kurt Busch and Casey Atwood (whatever happened to him)..since then, many more and some drivers..

I went to the 2006 Pepsi 400 at Daytona International Speedway. Tony Stewart in the #20 car for JGR won. Nothing humorous happened and I didn't meet any drivers.

I was there, my first live NASCAR race.

Nothing humorous, but it was a fuel mileage race with a few drivers running out on the last lap.  What I remember most is that in Fontana, California in May it gets REALLY HOT.  It was WELL over 100 degrees that day and reports of over 1000 heat related illnesses in the stands.  That was the last time they ran in May in Fontana, they moved it to February the next year.

No, I did not meet any of the drivers.  We were all so exhausted from the heat that We just got the h**l outta... h**l!!!  lol

Well the first NASCAR race I went to was August 1960.

Dixie Speedway(1/4 mile paved)

Won by Ned Jarrett #11 car.

I watched the race cause it was at our local track and I was an 8 year old fan.

The most intresting thing about the race was there were 3 Pettys racing,Lee,Richard,and Maurice.

Meet several of the drivers but lost the autographs over the years.

This was when NASCAR  ran 2 or 3 events a week at the little bull rings and then would run a speedway every now and then.

I am not sure what the 1st race was that I watched. I do remember watching the 1998 Daytona 500 though & that's about the time I really got into NASCAR. So, I suppose that could be the 1st race I totally watched.......
