  1. Huh?... This is another of those BUZZ WORD questions you people ask when you don't have a CLUE what you are talking about.

There was NO SUCH THING as a "European War on America during the Colonial period"... There WAS a REVOLUTIONARY WAR between AmeriKa and ENGLAND.. but England is NOT EUROPE.

Get your facts together and ask again without making things up... it makes it much easier to give an answer.

  2. Taking a guess on what you mean

the fact the England was in a war at home while trying to quell the American Rebellion was a major factor in Americans achieving their Independence.

  3. Actually indirectly, the Seven Years War (1756-1763) or French and Indian Wars in the American stage was one of the causes of the American War of Independence. After the war, France lost its possessions in North America to Britain which led to the Royal Proclamation of 1763. This prohibited settlement of American colonists to the "West" (previous French territories acquired after the war) to protect the colonists from Indians. However the colonists felt they were robbed because they felt that hey had the self-entitlement to settle in those "dangerous" lands since in fact it was British lands. This was another added reason for the growing resentment towards the British along with other Acts of Parliaments (e.g. Stamp Act), which ultimately resulted in to the Revolution.

    Hope this helps

  4. Ok first off, when you say "European War" which only are you talking about, there are hundreds of books on just one war with in the colonial period. Queen Anne's War? King Phillips War? 7 years war? etc....

Surprisingly, most of the European wars of the time did not directly affect the United States. For instance, when the US was allied with the british during the seven years war, we did not trade with the french, so as a result we did not trade and there was no traveling between the countries. When George Washington was president, his neutrality policy kept the US out of tangling European affairs. This was crucial to a weak, young nation like the US. if Jefferson became president at that time, he would have dived right in and potentially hurt the US permanently.
