What was the Yankee game where I think it was Alex Rodriguez who got hit with a pitch (for the second time by that pitcher I think) and the dugouts emptied out twice? Sorry, I know it probably sounds pretty vague, unfortunately can't remember the team they were versing either, but if you could give me the date of the game, the opposing team, and the pitcher who hit him that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

  1. You might be thinking of the 2004 game (July 26, I think) at Fenway when Bronson Arroyo (Captain Cornrows) hit A-Rod in the back, A-Rod told him to go s***w himself (or words to that effect), then Sox catcher Jason Varitek left his mask on like the coward he is and ambushed A-Rod.  Then the Sox came from behind and won the game.

And Sox fans call the Yankees "the Evil Empire." We're an empire, all right, but it is the Sox and their fans who are clearly the ones on the Dark Side.  This is just one example.

  2. Sounds like the Blue Jay game.

I don't know the date though.

Here is a list of pitchers who have hit Rodriguez.

  3. You're getting your games mixed up:

The first game is the 2003 ALCS Game 3 where the benches cleared once and then there was a bullpen altercation and then a game that next July where A-Rod was hit by a pitch and the benches emptied.
