  1. I bet 100 euro today on man united to win and I WON!!!!

  2. I don't bet big, but my best bet was a £10 each way ante-post bet at 33-1 on HAAFHD to win the 2,000 Guineas.  I didn't expect him to win and only backed him in the January as I had looked after him as a foal.

He went on to win the Craven Stakes before taking the Guineas at 11-4.  I won about £420.

He had a mid-season blip when beaten in The St James Palace and the Sussex Stakes, but came back to win the Champion Stakes at a very tasty 11-1!  I won about £200 on that race.

I'm looking forward to seeing his first two year olds run this year and winning even more money on them!

  3. I won the 3rd Super Bowl when the jets beat the colts being 17 1/2points dogs.

I also won a 10.00 exacta box at 800+ dollarsand didn't have to declare taxes because the base bet was 3 dollars instead of 2 dollars.

I won a 675 dollar exacta on the wrong race. I didn't check the ticket until the race was over.

The last one was just dumb luck.

  4. ive had some big wins my biggest odds was 33/1 eachway bet i had £100 e/w on it and it came second (fastarafan) was the horse i got about 800 back.

i had £700 at evens when frankie won his first and only derby (authorised)

ive had £600 on a 5/2 shot (beau nash) a pipe horse

these are just some of my big wins but my best was at royal ascot when i had 5 out of 6 on the card some of my winners that day were (storming home) (nice one clare) and (analyser) in which i had £50 on @ 16/1 on the tote i won thousands that day and was my best day in racing .

  5. My best value bet was on course at Thirsk many years ago when I backed a horse at 6-1 whose SP 25 minutes later was 2-1 ON.  It won by a short head.

  6. About 5 years ago i did a midweek 30p Lucky 15(i.e a yankee with 4 singles) that cost £4.50, the 1st horse won at 16-1 and the other three also obliged, the bet paid out £549.50, the only downside is that i stupidly told my girlfriend!!

  7. Walked into Ladbrokes to collect my bets on Denman and Fiveforthree at Cheltenhem on Friday and decided to have a bet on Silver Jaro in the last race thought 50-1 was too big a price for a horse who has been in the first 3 in its last 5 races including a big handicap in Ireland ... had £20 e/w  and won £1290 ... finished my cheltenham off brilliantly after Katchit won for me on the first day also and my double on Inglis Drever and Masterminded .... Of course that was sandwiched between a lot of losers but of course u expect that there

  8. Placepot £161 Quadpot £113 Single £105 Double £107.5.

However the biggest single win I can claim is the slip I filled out with a £5 win and put in my mates card on the day he got married  as a little extra pressie.

    It won at 25/1  Doh!

  9. Hi there

My best bet was when i but a £5.00 win on hedgehunter when he won the national. I put the bet on on the 2nd January at 40/1

  10. My first ever bet was in the 1989 Derby and I bet 1 e/w on Terimon at 500/1. He finished 2nd to Nashwan and I picked up 130 for my 2.

    Been hooked ever since :)

  11. $207 on a $1 exacta box at Wolverhampton, Activity over Imperium.  Imperium was in form but seems to like finishing second, Activity, ironically, hadn't raced in closed to two years, but was the fastest horse in the race when he was running.  None of the other horses seemed to have much recent form so I thought it was worth a gamble.  I guess the layoff scared everyone else off.

$180 on a $5 win/show bet at Oaklawn Park.  The horse opened at 8-1, which seemed fair.  When it went to 30-1, I got very concerned...turns out I should have really hammered the bet at that point.

$579 on an $8 pick four ticket at Belmont.  I had a single in the last leg, a mile and 1/16 maiden event.  I could really only see one horse that looked like it would appreciate the distance.  After I was still alive through three and got a look at the payouts, I was kicking myself for not playing the whole field.  My horse was nowhere to be seen at the turn, and as they passed the sixteenth pole I see him flying on the outside, Kent Desormeaux going to the whip to bring him home first.

  12. 150 pound on mckelvy each way on last years grand national he finish 2nd won about 1000 pound
