The highlight of the AFL '07 year was Collingwood vs Eagles which ended in a draw and the Pies going on to win in a nail biter than almost caused me to pass out from anxiety!!

A close second was the return of Nathan Buckley to play in the finals

No doubt many wont agree, but I think Collingwood's performance during the finals provided much interest and excitement.     Beating the grand finalist's of the previous 2 seasons, then going down by less than a goal the  week before the Grand Final, to the team that eventually won by a record margin, was a sensational performance.         For a team with 8 players under 21, and without their No 1 ruckman,   it made it all the the more meritorious, and a concern in the future for all other Clubs!

I have to agree with Captn Jack. For me it was the Grand Final. I loved every minute of that game. Can't stand Port Adelaide...especially WarrenTredrea ,Chad Cornes and Mark Williams..

So many of them!

1) when I knew the Grand Final was won.  About 5 minutes into the first quarter of the GF when Gary Ablett intercepted the kick in and kicked it to me behind the goals in the stand :-)

2) Steve Johnson winning the Norm Smith was "special" too! ...

but the winner ... the entire Prelim Final between Cats and Pies, which should have been the Grand Final!  Gutsy effort against the courageous and disciplined Pies.

EDIT: Oh and yes - Ramanauskas was a bloody good story too.  How good could've that guy been with an uninterrupted career?

I just received the Grand Final DVD this past weekend in the post to Kansas in America. I have only watched the first half so far. What an exhibition of attacking and rebound from 50 handball in the early second quarter by Geelong.

The best moment is still to come on the DVD, the end of the game.

So, the best moment is the siren with Geelong over in a GF for the first time in 44 years.

It depends who you support.

For me it was hawthorn making the finals for the first time in 6 seasons.

Also seeing Geelong finally get the cup again ... only as my ol man supports the cats.

and the cup coming back to Melbourne where it belongs
