What was the best school assembly that you (or your kids) had in elementary school?

I'm committee head, next year, for the PTO's cultural arts committee - the one that brings assemblies & other cultural events to the school. I'm starting to think ahead, to make plans for how we'll be using the budget to have a great year full of events for the kids.

What was your most memorable, motivational, educational or fun assembly?

our school had the last spirit rally today for the school year which means school is out in two weeks........yeah !

this guy with lots of animals came and showed them. He let people pet a snake, there were birds, and others. But he showed us how to take care of pets, and other safety  things.

My all time favorite would be Christmas around the world.....

Each class took a country and showed the school visitors how that country celebrated Christmas...the children had a ball and the parents too !!!! GOOD LUCK and HAVE FUN with it.

Last Christmas, the little grandchildren had their annual Nativity Concert. As you know, people have to be careful not to upset different races and religions but here, in my part of Wales there are only one Chinese and one Indian family.

The little Chinese boy introduced the Nativity play,thanked everyone for coming and wished us all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - IN WELSH !

The Innkeeper was the little Indian boy and the Inn was also a Restaurant.

It was magical

Well when I was in like 4th grade we has "ronald mcdonald" come to our school and he did some magic stuff but also taught about staying in school and how respect and responsibilty are important as you get older.

it was really cool and really kept your attention.

I was in seventh grade and we had a former n**i Skinhead talk to the school about how he realized the err in his ways.

I'm an elementary school teacher and the absolute best assembly we've had was when the Celtic Spring Band came to perform - a truly amazing family performance. It's very entertaining and educational. Both the adults and students were left speechless. If you can get them, I would highly recommend bringing them to your school.
