What was the best selling vehicle in america?

My local newspaper said that it was the Ford F-150 for two decades. Is this true? And how could it be true? I remotely see these trucks on the road.

the ford 150 truck is the best selling truck for 4 years, but Honda is the best selling cars, second by Toyota

It used to be but since the price of fuel has gone up so high,  as of June 8, 2008 it is the Honda Civic
