  1. You really can't compare the two epic matches, at two different times with 4 different players. But I'd pick 2008 as THE BEST, so far.

  2. B. Men's 2008 Wimbledon Final

i wasn't born yet to see men's 1980 wimbledon finals...

  3. B. B/c i wasn't alive to witness A

  4. C. Other

    2001 WImby Finals

    Goran Ivansevic vs. Patrick Rafter.

The only wildcard in the men's draw ever to win Wimby after three heart-wrenching losses in previous finals.

Sports Illustrated/ESPN lists this as the 4th greatest sporting moment in the WORLD.

5 set final, although not long, it was a real match.

People need to remember that match and not put it over Wimby 08 (although it was a spectacular final)

  5. 2008 final between Nadal and Federer.

  6. For 28 years - it was A

    From the eve of July 6 2008, we've a new record - B

Absolutely no doubts there. On my side, even my unshakeable 73 year old veteran national tennis player dad acknowledged yesterday.

I think the most important acknowledgement came from McEnroe himself after the match. So I guess it is afterall B

  7. B. I loved this final. Sports Illustrated said it was the "greatest match ever". Very entertaining and enjoyable to watch.

  8. B. 2008 Wimbledon final.

Though the 1980 one was spectacular this one goes down in history.

I think the second best goes to the 2002 semi-finals of the U.S. Open.  Agassi v. Sampras

Federer and Nadal are arguably the two best players to ever play the game.  Time will tell, but players are better than they ever have been.  I don't know if it's the raquets or what but they seem to hit the ball so much more fluid.

  9. A

  10. Definitely the Men's 2008 Wimbledon Final...

Federer was down in two sets and came back to almost winning the match! (would have set the record of 1987). They were playing great...Rafa's serves were consistent and HUGE, while Federer was getting back all of Nadals "winners"....Nadal probably deserved to win, but I was rooting for Roger! :)
