What was the bump on my jaw?

A few days ago I had a painful, hard bump on my jaw right behind my molar tooth so I thought it was my wisdom tooth coming in. After a couple days I tasted blood in my mouth and the swelling went down immediately. Now the spot where the bump was dips down a little like a hole. Does anyone know what that could've been?

Its either a wisdom tooth coming through...this can take years or never happen.

It could also be a blister which is a fluid filled raised layer of soft tissue. It could occur with traume. There are many other causes.

The important bthing is is it causing you pain and if bearable keep an eye on it and if after a week it is not healing or if it recurs go to the dentist
