  1. THEIR CODOMS WERE STOLEN

  2. This answer is debated because of the lack of historical record then. A lot of the history of the Trojan War is based on Homer's epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey

    In Greek mythology, the Trojan War was waged against the city of Troy by the Achaeans after Paris of Troy stole Helen from her husband Menelaus, the king of Sparta. The war is among the most important events in Greek mythology, and was narrated in many works of Greek literature, including the Iliad and the Odyssey by Homer. The Iliad relates a part of the last year of the siege of Troy, while the Odyssey describes the journey home of Odysseus, one of the Achaean leaders. Other parts of the war were told in a cycle of epic poems, which has only survived in fragments. Episodes from the war provided material for Greek tragedy and other works of Greek literature, and for Roman poets like Virgil and Ovid.

  3. Its was the Spartans. :D  JKJK. Actually in mythology of course it was due to Helen of Troy. Also the greeks wanted to become the next power and control land.

  4. According to the mythology;

    At the wedding of Achilles' parents, everyone was invited- except the goddess of discord- 'Ate'.  She wasn't happy about that, and tossed a golden apple into the party with a note- that it was for the fairest.

    Athena, Aphrodite & Hera all claimed they were the fairest.  No God would get involved, so they found a mortal, Alexander.  He was in fact the son that Priam had, who on the insistence of Cassandra- his daughter, blessed with the gift of prophesy (and later cursed with the 'no one will believe you' clause) had left on a hill side.  He didn't know this quite yet.  He was chosen, and all 3 bribed him to decide in their favor.  Aphrodite offered Helen of Sparta, the most beautiful woman in the world.  She was already married to Menaleus; brother of Agamenmon.

    So whem Alexander went to Troy, he claimed his birthrite, & former name of Paris; he was sent on a mission to Sparta for diplomacy.  He then stole, or convinced Helen to go with him; which activated an agreement that had been made by all her suitors before she was married.  The agreement was basically that all present would defend the marriage with their life, etc.

    More likely, the Greeks wanted Troy's wealth.  Troy sat along the Dardanelles, where Asia met Europe and the black sea met the Med.  (much like Istanbul, which is further north).  So troy would have been wealthy with trade.

  5. haven't you seen "troy"?!!!!!

  6. Paris had one of the goddesses steal Helen for him. Greeks= Po'd

  7. Paris, the son of the King of Troy, stole Helen, the wife of King Menelaus,and the most beautiful woman in the world, and ran off with her to Troy.  This annoyed Menelaus very much, so he and all the other Greek kings got their armies together and sailed to Troy to get Helen back.  It took them ten years.
