  2. Its PARALLEL  to the American Revolutionary War of Independence:

    One side wanted to gain independence from a very controlling and corrupt system and be free to set things right and live better and more fairly;  

    The other side wanted to maintain 'ownership' and control, preserve the status quo and carry on their ways, and make the revolutionaries look bad, treasonous / heretical criminals.
