I voted for Clinton, and was ashamed of it by the end of his tenure.  However, I will say that handling the economy was one thing his administration did well, unlike most Democratic ones.  There was a surplus in the end.

However, he didn't have many of the challenges other administrations have had, such as major wars (WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq 1, Iraq 2. . . ).  Defending the country can tend to drain your pocketbook at little more.

I just read an article today that said that when Bill Clinton left office, there was a $128 billion SURPLUS. NO DEBT!

I find it amusing how all you tout Clinton as a great president. First of all he cut the budget for the military and was not actively fighting two wars to protect this nation. His inaction actually led to the events of 9/11 and thanks to Sandy Berger stealing classified one of a kind documents from the archives we may never know how much he was asleep at the helm. America and our interest were attacked 3 times under him and he was too worry about making stains on intern's dresses to do his job. Clinton also vetoed drilling in Anwar because it would take 10 years. Guess what 10 years has passed and gas prices are 4$/gal. Did he cause it? No but he sure as h**l did not help it. Clinton sold the Chinese missile tech to make their missiles accurate. Clinton sold his pardon power for money through his brother. Clinton was a sad example of a president but he did sign the executive order to have Saddam Hussein removed from power but of course did not act on it. Clinton also committed our forces under UN control to bomb the wrong side in Bosnia. He went in on the side of the Muslims which then moved in murdered 200,000 Christians and we still have people there today. Where is the outrage. You dems are so consistent at being hypocrites it is funny.
