  1. here's an interesting bit of trivia about the rover.

    there were no missions planned with the rover in which the distance the astronauts traveled riding could not have been walked back from in case the rover pooped out.


  2. Apollo 15 was the fourth mission to land men on the Moon. It was the first mission to use a lunar rover, to feature three EVAs and to launch a subsatellite in lunar orbit. It was the ninth manned mission in the Apollo Program.

  3. Apollo missions 15, 16 and 17 used the Lunar Rover (aka the Moon Buggy).
