  1. The Wright Brothers used woo and fabric. Then it evolved and finally it became steel and so on.

  2. wood and fabric

  3. paper

  4. Most all early airplanes and the first ones were all made up of fabric for the wing surfaces, wires for moving wing surfaces and keeping it together, Steel tubes for the main frames.

Bicycle mechanics were usually the first ones to make the first planes because they basically had the know how, tools, supplies to make them, so the majority of plane parts were bicycle parts.  And since planes had to be light and bikes were to it was the perfect mix...

  5. Wood & Fabric... here you go...

  6. Specifically it was canvas... just like they use for paintings... quite sturdy when stretched taut.
