Me and a friend are having an argument about it being sony or nokia. I think it was the Sony Ericsson T68i. He thinks it was a nokia but can't remember what model number.

I tried searching google but can't find an answer.

Can anyone tell us the model number of the Nokia, and when it and the Sony Ericsson T68i were both released.

  1. Wasn't it one of those Japanese phones not sold out of Japan?

  2. Well, Sony Ericsson T68i was apparently release end of 2001 (according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericss... but Nokia had the 9210 Communicator in 2000 already (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_9210_... and that's only talking about a high end smartphone, smaller and cheaper Nokia phones might have been available already before that (but then again, maybe not).

Nokia 3520 and Nokia 3560 were released in 2003

  3. Well i wouldn't trust wikipedia whoever threw that one into the answers... Thats hardly the most reliable source on the web. I was actually having a similar argument with my mate the other day about what the first commercial mobile was and i stumbled onto "the history of mobiles" on mobiles.co.uk. Ill leave the direct link below, hope this helps, from what i can remember your shout with Sony Ericsson sounds right

  4. ooh i dont know..my first mobile was black and white and didnt even do texts..ha ha!! that was a samsung with an ariel...nice ; )

  5. I think it could be the Nokia 3510i

  6. The Nokia 3520 and Nokia 3560 were the first two.

    Hope I Helped, X.
