Or your psychologist/psychiatrist/counselor, etc.

Was it uncomfortable, relaxing, was the therapist nice, did they let you do all the talking, etc.

Wondering because I'm going to see one soon. I think.

  1. yes it was helpful they will ask u a bunch of questions to get to know u and figure out with u what u want need

If they want to do meds ask about side efects and research here is great place to learn about medication and what they do and don't  do

  2. Therapists usually seem pretty calm. The ones I've been to were all pretty attentive and seemed decent, but if you're not keen on the idea of opening up to people who you don't think will understand you, it won't be that easy. In the first visit, they usually just go off a checklist to see if you have anything majorly wrong with you (just like the doctor). One therapist I went to did a lot of talking about herself...whatever.

  3. it's depends on therapists, they all have different system, but normally just would ask you questions without being judgemental

be careful, as there are the ones who are judgemental, they just pretend they are not

  4. It usually starts out a little awkward and tense, but if you go to a good therapist they should not pressure you into saying anything but encourage you to speak your mind and open up to them in a warm environment. They also mix in some questions that aren't as serious but help get them to know you better.

    Hope this helps!
