  1. The guys that wrestled in the X-cup. I forget their name

  2. I don't know them all, but I'd sayKENTA and Marufuji. They defeated the Briscoes in ROH.

  3. The Devils of Japan - Bull Nakano & Dump Matsumoto

  4. Masahiro Chono and Keiji Mutoh made several apperances in NWA during the mid 80's and for sure they have to be one of the greatest ever.Gifted wrestlers in their own right, they took tag team wrestling to another "purer" level of Dojo wrestling.Great Muta was always billed under his own name as he felt fans would only come to the show on the strength of the Muta name.He wanted US fans to see what he was and not who he was.

These two stars are probably the most famous in Japanese pro wrestling history.Chono as Mister Black Jack has been a top heel, working an excellent powerhouse and technical style. His BLACK Faction is Japan's version of Evolution. While Muta almost singlehandedly tranformed Japanese wrestling with his amazing moveset and patented Muta Lock and Shining Wizard. When they worked together in-ring, the oppostion could only stop and admire basically.

  5. Funaki and Takeo or whatever his name was!! I believe they are japanese they we're great during their time I miss those days. I still like funkai even though he loses every match

  6. Speed Muscle

  7. The greatest I've seen was a team I watched nearly 40 years ago.  Masa Saito (I'm sure you know, at least, OF him) and Kenji Shibuya (you probably don't know him).

Saito, of course, is one of the all-time greats from Japan.  Built like a fireplug, strong as an ox, and a great wrestler.  He was the silent "muscle" of the team.

Shibuya was a lot like Mr. Fuji in the way he acted and spoke.  Bowing and smiling, devious as h**l, the stereotypical ee-vil Japanese gimmick.  Shibuya spoke English very well and cut some great promos.

Both were mat wrestlers, of course (this WAS the late 60's).  Saito generally mauled and out-wrestled his opponents, and Shibuya did the cheating and dirty tricks (including throwing "salt" into their opponents' eyes), but was a good wrestler in his own right.  They worked well together and had great teamwork.  And boy, were they hated!  One of the best heel teams I've ever seen.

I'm trying to think of a fairly recent example of how they were as a team...hmm...maybe Ivan and Nikita Koloff, or better yet, Kevin Sullivan and Rick Steiner in WCW (though Steiner was "goofy", Saito was NOT).

  8. I would say Mr.Fuji and Prof Toru Tanaka

  9. the Japan devils!!!!!!

    **starred**

  10. kae en tai! INDEED!!!
