What was the importance of kinship relations in slavery in Latin America and the Caribbean?

  1. Slaves were allowed to be married which many did for the social excuse but their relationships were not allowed to effect their enslavement. Families were not seen as families by the slave owners rather products who came from the same source and alot of times families were split up and sold off womens children could also be sold of from them etc.

    Basically kingship was not important during the slavery institutions in those regions
