What was the importance of watching films to soldiers in second world war?

I would like to know anything about how films helped to keep up the morale of the forces in the second world war at home and abroad

  1. Showing soldiers propaganda films on their way to fight the Japanese helped the morale of the soldiers.  The soldiers needed to know that their enemy was worth killing.  So they would show them films of the rape of Nanjing or Japanese soldiers throwing babies up into the air and having them land on their bayonets.
