  1. What do you consider crying? Getting a little misty eyed, or full on bawling?

Getting a little misty eyed: a few minutes ago when I watched two stories on CNN.com back to back about that baby being beaten to death on the street and then about a man who threw a bag of kittens into traffic killing all but one.

Full on bawling - about 2 weeks ago I was set off when I learned my school committed its third processing error on my student aid check which has thus far delayed the money from coming in about 4 weeks late, causing me to have to ask my parents for even more money to cover me until the check is in. It was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back because I've been working 7 days a week between my new job and the 2 weeks notice of my old job which has turned into a 6 weeks notice because I felt bad for them because they will be understaffed until they find someone else, and then school on top of that. My schedule has been so hectic, and then my boyfriend just graduated college and he has been unsuccessful finding a job. Oh, and our air conditioning broke that week causing me to not get much sleep.

  2. A p***s the size of a baseball bat. Ah, because.....

  3. Someone died, it was sad because he's young and just had a baby

  4. the hike in gas prices. enough said. :-(

  5. Last time I cried was yesterday. Mostly out of frustration and worry about a family member and some of my own on-going struggles.

  6. Listening to "Belfast to Boston" the other day.

I have friends who were affected by the Northern Irish Troubles.

That, and it's just a very sad song =[

    And I'm sentimental.

  7. Pro Life Persons

  8. Okay this is embarrassing because I don't cry a lot over Hallmark commericals and such, but I was watching So You Think You Can Dance yesterday and this couple did a hip hop (of all things!!) routine about their last day together because he was leaving for the war.  It was so perfect!  Their movements and expressions during the dance were spot on.  Tears just ran down my face as I watch because it really made me think of how awful it would be to get the news that your loved one was leaving and you may never see him again.  I loved that dance and just thinking about it is making me tear up a bit again!

  9. The fact that I am addicted to online poker and lose money constantly like an idiot.

  10. One of my cats died about 5 years ago.  Yes, it's been that long since I've really cried.  I've teared up a few times since then, but haven't done what I'd call crying with tears coming out of my eyes, unless you're going to count the last time I got something  in my eyes or went on a bad coughing spell and my eyes watered as crying.

  11. It was joy. Chelsea win the 2005-06 Premier League season!

    Ronaldo's leaving! Ronaldo's leaving! Ronaldo's leaving! Yipee!

  12. When my infant daughter was killed in an accident.  I probably hadn't cried in 10 years, but I cried for weeks after that.

  13. Saying goodbye to a daughter you're no longer 'allowed' to be a part of... luckily, this is something not many females will ever endure.

  14. Living with my parents. Its too stressful, even for 3 weeks, i cant live with them, there too depressing, i cant wait till i go back home.

  15. The death of my dad. He was my role model.

  16. Watching "Fever Pitch"!  A long time fan of the Red Sox, I cried when I saw the movie the first time.....and it had nothing to do with the story line between Drew Barrymore & Jimmy Fallon.

  17. When I had to put my dog down.

  18. I was watching a rerun of A&E's Intervention, where the addict, found out that he was going to get an intervention by his family.  He called the producers of the show, told them where they could shove the intervention and chose to not be on the show.  The producers had to tell this to the mother of the addict.  Her reaction was so intense and desperate, it was as if her entire world had ended, this was her last hope to get her son better and it had failed and she was just completely defeated and sad (to say the least).  It was so sad and I cried along with her.

  19. Really, I agree with Musica, WTF is wrong with the person giving thumbs down for some truly sad experiences?

My sadness pales in comparison to what some of the other posters have listed.  The last time I cried, was a few weeks ago, when my fiance had to fly back to Colombia (where she lives).  We just got engaged.  I'll be seeing her again soon, but not exactly sure when.  She started crying, I started crying, we thought our dog was going to start crying too.  I love my fiance with all my heart and don't want to be apart from her one second longer than is necessary.

  20. When I heard the sci-fi writer Arthur C. Clarke died a few months ago. He was my all-time favorite. I felt like I had lost a friend.

  21. Having to say goodbye to my 2 y/o grandson at the end of my recent vacation to see the family. We live several states apart, so I don't get to see my grandson and my daughter very often. It was strange. During the whole week I was visiting, he didn't cry when I would leave the house to go on an errand or play tourist...despite crying like a banshee when his mother or father would leave.  So we figured on the day I have to leave it will be a piece of cake.  WRONG!!! The moment I put my hand on the car door to open it, he started crying! I guess  he realized I really was leaving, and of course hearing him cry also made me (and his mother) cry, too. I cried all the way to the Greyhound station. My daughter says my grandson cried the better part of the evening, too.

p.s. Who in the world out there thinks that the MAJORITY of us "deserve" any thumbs down on this question? Whoever you are, I think you are an insensitive jerk with waaaaaay too much time on your hands!!!

  22. The last time I cried was the birth of my child because it was amazingly intense and connective. Everyone involved was buzzing on the same emotional wave length. In other words I was not the only one experiencing tears of joy.

  23. My ex cheating on me... It made me feel like if I didn't deserve to be loved. I know that's not true, is just how He made me felt.
