  1. By 1944 the German army was just a shadow of the mighty military it was just 5 years earlier.  By 1945 millions of German troops had been injured or killed and they started accepting teenage boys as young as 14 into the army.


  2. By June of 1944 the German army was waging a war on two fronts against the allies on the west and the Soviets on the east.  It was the beginning of the end for them.
