  1. T-20 WORLD CUP FINAL WAS THE BEST ONE FOR ME

  2. Highest run chase in ODis

and the ashes test when England won by 1 run

  3. The most exciting ones I remember immediately are:

    1) 1991 - B&H tri series Down Under - Ind/ WI tied when both scored 126

    2) Natwest trophy final in Lords - India chased 325 after losing 5 wickets

  4. 20Twenty world cup final between Pakistan and India.

  5. India vs Pakistan 1996 World cup Quaterfinals

At one point India was losing that match when Pakistan was at 81/0 in 9 overs at that point Sohail makes his mistake of the lifetime by challenging Prasad(that wasa the moment of the life ha ha ha )

  6. Nothing beats the Natwest series 2002-03! It was so exciting watching India chase down the total of 332 or something like that.

The Perth test match was also very exciting. India had comeback really strongly to win that test and i was really proud!

And who can forget the T20 World Cup final between India and Pakistan?

  7. Dear Ravii

Most exciting for me was the ODI in Sharjah where Miandad (Pak) hit a six on the last ball of Chetan Sharma (India). Well till that last ball Pakistan had all but lost that match.

1992 Cricket World cup final between England  and Pakistan

20-20 World championships India- Pakistan where Pak lost. It was a very very close match indeed!

    Your Rehman bhai

  8. I'll say a few

RSA chasing 435 of Australia which was one of the greatest matches ever witnessed!

Natwest Series 2002-India chasing England's 326 with the help of Yuvi & Kaif!

Nat West series 2007-Oval-India chasing England's 315 with the help of Uthappa in the end which was the 6th match of 7 match ODI series.

  9. Two matches comes to my mind which I enjoyed most - first the Natwest Final between England and India; second is match between Australia and SA which SA win by chasing 430+ runs.

  10. There are lot of ODI matches, for instance, the Natwest final, CB series finals, Aus-RSA run feast.

But the one I want to cite maybe beyond your memory lane. I can say, it was one of the best final match India played. India vs Pakistan at its best.

18 Jan 1998 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Silver Jubilee Independence cup final

Pakistan made 314/4 in 48 overs. Saeed Anwer made 140 from 132 & Ijaz Ahmed 117 from 112

India Started confidently as Sourav (124 from 138) & Sachin (41 from 26 balls) put up a good opening stand and Robin Singh who was promoted up the order played a blistering knock of 82 and at the end of 38 overs India were 250/1. India needed 65 runs from 60 balls. But from there India lost wickets rapidly (Remember it was 48 over match) But what I remember is, in the last three balls India needed 4 runs, and Srinath had a pep-talk with Kanitkar, Srinath ready to run for anything (at least according to the commentator) and Kanitkar hit it four. That was a breathtaking finish.

there was another low score affair in Newzealand, in which Asish Nehra (the last man) pulled the the second last delivery of the innings a completed a single, again Srinath was at the other end.India's only 1 wicket in ODI's, and they were chasing just 200 to win (112 made by Sehwag)

Only one test match, I could recall, that kept me on the edge of the seat, and it did not involve India.

It was between Pakistan & England at Karachi, on Dec 2000. On the fifth day, England needed 176 runs to win in 44 overs. The battle was not only against the likes of  Waqar Younis & Saqlain Mustaq. It was also against the fading light and against time that was fast running out. England was offered light, but they decided to carry on battling. They reached the target in 41.3 overs. And it was murkier when the match was over. Usage of floodlights were not allowed in test cricket then.

  13. 1)the natwest final 2002 was the best thing evr...it was the first time i watched a game and it does teach u to nevr give up....all-time fav

2)the aus-sa run chase was a classic too

best test match:adelaide...every1 doubted india+ we lost the first game badly+we were losing this one badly too...gr8 comeback

best t20:the final was awesome too...the last over...it was so all-or-nothing....altho india had been the best thruhout the tournament

the stakes were high cuz nobody even remembers that pak were finalists...and ofcourse it was an indoo-pak game...

i've never watched the older ones but i've seen highlights and the aus-sa 1999 game has to be the most heartbreaking loss evr for any team....2 extraordinary shots and then he gets runout...as steve waugh said they jus dropped the cup...

and the story of the kolkota game sounds awesome

  14. the best ever cricket match for me was 25 years back , i watched it completely ball by ball, 1983 prudential WC final at Lords , I watched India crashing to 183 all out thinking that the mighty west indies with that mighty batting order will make the hat tricks of world cups at intermission but the things were destined in a different way ,i watched the second innings prognosis and hapless west Indies crashing to 140 bringing India the most glorious moment in India's history of cricket, i can never ever forget that match !

    god bless!

    star!

  15. well thats a tough one.........

the Natwest Series final 2002-2003 ........the match that really got me crazy....

  16. Many ones as some already mentioned above-

    the natwest final, T20 final.

So I would mention about when I had started following the game & the first one that took me was the 1999 WC semi b/w Aus & SA

there were two matches involving some teams you wouldn't guess but they put on some really thrilling performances & that too- in tests!!

    if u remember/ recall

Zimbabwe vs West Indies test match in november 2003 when Zim needed to take one wicket to win, they tried everything, Andy Blignaut bowled unbelievably quick- even at 156 kph. I was thrilled but Windies keeper Ridley Jacobs & Fidel Edwards held the ground till last. I was feeling bad for Zim players!!

Pakistan vs Bangladesh test match at Multan in september 2003 was another thriller which Pakistan won by 1 wicket because of Inzamam's heroic century in the final innings of the test, Bangladesh had nearly won it but Inzi was the man!

  17. Test match : India vs Aus, Kolkata, 2001

ODI : India vs Pak, Karachi, 2004:

    http://content-www.cricinfo.com/ci/conte...

  19. SA vs AUS - 1999 WC semi final. SA bat second and need 213 to win. Allan Donald is the last man out at the score of 212 and the game ends in tie
