I had heard of some isolated groups up until the 5th century AD, is this true?

  2. Nope, not Europe.

    There were some Caucasian hunter gatherers in the Canaries (Guanches), and the Finnish Saami are nomadic pastoralists. Europeans swapped over to farming in the Neolithic.

  3. All Blood Type "O" humans, are to some degree, still "Hunter/Gatherers", but the last known "society" in Europe, were the Cro-Magnon, who left Europe for warmer places, during the last Ice Age, some 10-12,000 years ago...
