  1. A few years ago, against the British and Irish Lions and other teams, Andrew Walker played on the wing and at full back for the Australians. He came from rugby league and at the time was playing for the ACT Brumbies and has since gone back to rugby league

  2. I think Mark Ella is correct.

  3. there  are  actuall 3  Ella  brothers  all with  super   12  contracts  but  i think  mark ella  is  the one  who played recently.for  australia(..........he  is  now  an  australian  national team  coach)......

although  other   aboriginal players  have been  picked  in  past it  is  difficult  as  the coaching  system   in  australia  relies  on  state  school  sides  bringing  players  on,.and  not  many aborigines use  these  schools............unlike  the  maori  culture  in  new  zealand  where  it is    part  of  rugby  tradition......

  4. lote tequiri?

  5. I think the aboriginal fellow you are thinking of is Mark Ella.  I don't know if he actually played on the wing though.  I seem to remember him playing at fly half, at centre and occasionally at full back.  I may be wrong though, he was certainly a versatile player and could well have played on the wing as well.

I was lucky enough to see him play twice against Scotland.  The first was in 1982 when Scotland won, the last time Scotland defeated the Wallabies at Murrayfield.  The second time I saw him play was in the Wallabies Autumn Tour of 1984, the game which I first saw the great David Campese burst onto the scene.  I'm pretty sure Ella was the fly half that day and the Wallabies just took our Grand Slam team to the cleaners.  Campo got two tries and Mark Ella got one to achieve the distinction of scoring a try in each of the four test matches of that highly successful tour.

  6. Dwite fella...............lmfao

  7. Wendell Sailor is a Torres Straight Islander that played for the Aussie RL team.

Torres straight Islanders are not recognized as being aboriginal.

They do however come under the same heading if being used in conversation or documenatation,  that being

    Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander.

Biladope...   Lote Tuquiri is of Fijian Heritage.

  8. mark ella

  9. I'm not sure of his lineage, however Wendle Sailor is often thought to be aboriginal. Could this be who you mean?
