I have a thing about naming all my pets after an Egyptian God. When I found a turtle in my pond I thought I would let my son keep it. I looked it up and the net said something about the name "Set/Seth" because they are looked at as evil thereby being attached to him, but I wanna make sure I get it right. I am kind of neurotic about these things... LOL! Thanks for any help.

  1. huh? seth was turtle headed...hmmm...im not quite sure, but you can always name it after the protector of the Nile, although he's an alligator i guess its still ok :))

  2. ' the evil turtle god '  which was slain by me

  3. You are correct.  There was no Egyptian 'turtle god' , but the turtle was one of the symbols of the god Set/Seth, the god of evil (the trickster god).
