  1. the confederates did not own any slave ships.they were owned by european or arab traders that brought slaves that were purchased from africans.

  2. There was NEVER any slave ships that flew the Confederate flag. In fact, the Confederacy outlawed the slave trade before the U.S. did. Also, the Confederacy didn't fight the war to maintain the institution of slavery. It fought to preserve States Rights and to fend off an illegal military invasion from the North.

  3. There is no record of this.

  4. There were NONE. The north (United States of America) inported ALL of the slaves into America.Boston was the hub of slave trading and some of Americas elite families were involved. The south get the blame hile northerners wer more cruel to slaves than souther slave owners. Gen Grant chained his slaves to the walls in the basement while he was away fighting for their freedom (Myth). The British transported slaves to the US also. but not the Confederates.

  5. No Confederate slave ships.  And while it is not true that the Confederacy outlawed the international slave trade before the USA did -- the USA did so in 1808 -- it is true that the Confederacy partially outlawed the internatioinal slave trade.   The CSA Constitution made one exception: it allowed slave trade with the USA.

"1. The importation of negroes of the African race from any foreign country other than the slaveholding States or Territories of the United States of America, is hereby forbidden; and Congress is required to pass such laws as shall effectually prevent the same.

    2. Congress shall also have power to prohibit the introduction of slaves from any State not a member of, or Territory not belonging to, this Confederacy."
