  1. bukulikcow_99 has the winner.

May 14, 1993 was my birthday.  I had two weeks left in my senior year at Ohio University.  The previous two years I had driven everybody I knew crazy during the Cup playoffs.  If you recall, 1991 and 1992 were the 2 years that there was no American television contract for the NHL.  I would borrow people's cars and drive to Columbus to find a bar with a satellite dish to watch the playoffs (I will always love you, Damon's restaurant in Reynoldsburg, OH).  So in 1993 when the games were actually on, I made everybody watch the playoffs.

The 1993 team was the best Penguins team ever.  They finished the season on a 17 game winning streak, if I recall correctly.  In the first period of that game, Kevin Stevens got knocked out cold and smashed in his face when he hit the ice.  Not a good sign.  I kept waiting for the Pens to put the pesky Isles away, but they couldn't.  (F U Ray Ferraro.  I will always hate you)  The next thing I know, there's about 2 minutes left in the game and the Isles are leading 3-2.  I sat there with my head on the bar saying "I can't believe this is happening".  My roommate kept telling me, "No.  They'll tie it.  They'll tie it".  Lo and behold, he was right and the Pens forced overtime.  I assumed at that point that it would only be a matter of time and the Pens would advance.  And then David Volek scored on what seemed to be a rather harmless play.  All the hopes of the season and the chance at a three-peat were gone.  Just like that.

    On my birthday.

Needless to say, I drank a lot that night.

Pens would have mopped up the Habs and were far superior to the Kings.  It was their year.  And it slipped away.

  2. Uwe Krupp's Third Overtime Goal to clinch the Cup for the Av's over the Panthers. It is a sticking point for all Panther fans everywhere.

  3. Talbot's goal in game 5 of the 2008 finals. Sykora's goal later on didn't sit well with me either. Also, what I did after the game ended doesn't sit well with me either lol.

  4. The goal that upset me the most was during the 2008 playoffs where Talbot scores at the end of the 3rd. Osgood was so close too, but I didn't think he could stretch that far again, so that lead to a goal and a lost in 2nd overtime I believe.

But still the Wings won. :)

  5. David Volek, May 14, 1993, Game 7, Pens vs. Isles

  8. Daniel Alfredsson. OT. 2007 Eastern Confrence Finals Game 5

Senators at Sabres. Alfredsson fired a little wrister. Miller was partially screened by Campbell and it slipped home

Also I was pretgty young so I barley remember this at all but Brett Hull's No Goal

  9. The Oilers shortie in overtime during game 5 of the 2006 Stanley Cup finals. That was awful...

    Things turned out alright though.

  10. LOL...Teal Town already said it...Brendan Morrow's goal in the 4th OT

  11. this goal right here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y524oYnSu... it tore me apart you have to save it.

  12. Devils VS Hurricanes in the 2006 playoffs, game two.  The Devils scored with 20 seconds left in the 3rd period to take a 2-1 lead, and I pretty much thought they were going to win it.  But I think it was Staal who scored literally with 3 seconds left to tie the game, and the Hurricanes scored and won in overtime.

  13. I literally tore my pants when this happened I was at this game god it was great.

    Edit Edit Edit

    This link is better

  14. Stephan Matteau in the Eastern Conference Finals of the 93-94 season....I'm a Devils fan so there's nothing more that needs to be said

    Other painful NJ moments:

Alex Tanguay's huge game (2 goals) in game 7 of the SCF in 2001

Adam Footes goal in game 6 of the SCF in 2001

Martin Brodeur's fluke goal where the puck was cleared the length of the ice and he dropped his stick and it riccocheted in between his legs and in (SCF 2003 against the Ducks)

Sara has a good one too...pretty much solidified our loss to them even though it was only game two....we had an 11 game regular season winning streak going and then we swept the Rangers....we could have had the cup that year

  15. Jaffry Luplu game seven overtime ended one of the coolest seasons I've ever seen.  It's tied with the Kapanen goal after the blatant goalie interference non-call.

Shock's in the Mud-trust me I've watched that video more then i thought possible and the fact of the matter is if that wasn't interference then i can think of three incredibly important goals the caps would have had but were waved off.  I'm not mad any more because it's over and nothing's bringing it back, but it was no goal.

  16. For me it was game 7 2006 conf finals. Sabres had taken a 2-1 lead, when the Hurricanes scored to make it 3-2 I was not only devastated, but confused at the lack of interest on the part of the Sabres to locate the puck infront of the net. Nobody wanted to do anything with it. Miller didn't notice it either. It occured to me the Sabres just didn't want the game. Maybe they were too afraid to face the Oilers?
