What was the original name assigned to the homo erectus from Java?

I know its either Pithecanthropus erectus or sinanthropus perkinensis but im not sure which one!!!thanks

    Wait,  don't tell me.....you have a quiz on this and you didn't read any of the assignment right? You know you can get on the National Geographic site and get all this info without having to wait for some anthro-nerd to tell you the answer. That would be lots quicker and way more reliable than hoping you get the right answer elsewhere on the web. Not that I'm knocking this site, I really like this site but generally speaking it's not what I would consider using to get answers for my homework or a quiz. Do some actual research on this subject you might find out that you enjoy finding this stuff out for yourself. You never know.
