What was the original size of burger kings burgers in the 1950's?

i heard rumors that a long time ago burger kings burgers were big. but how big exactly were they? was one patty the equivalent of a 1/2 pound, 3/4 pound, 1 pound burger?

I worked with them in the 70s and the wopper was 1/4 pound. But dressed to perfection.
